Ryoji Homma is a Japanese artist based in Berlin, working across painting, wood carving, and metal sculpture. In 2011, he undertook a two-year apprenticeship under the master painter Shigeru Yamakawa (1925–2015), living and working in his studio. During this intensive period, Homma deeply immersed himself in the compositional theories of Fauvism and the expressive possibilities of oil painting.

His artistic inquiry explores the flow and fluctuation of energy within the natural world, examining humanity's intrinsic connection to life itself. From various dimensions, he seeks to decipher the elements that constitute the "unique frequency" emitted when an artwork resonates with a viewer, leaving a profound emotional impact. Through a swirling interplay of color and form, his practice constructs an imaginative realm that traverses the boundary between reality and the spiritual.

In recent years, Homma has focused his practice on the theme of "soil." He visualizes the cyclical process where all life, upon reaching its end, returns to the earth to be regenerated into fertile soil through the work of microorganisms. Incorporating meticulous observation and documentation via microscopy, he continuously attempts to bring entirely new worlds into existence.

本間亮次は、ベルリンを拠点に、絵画・木彫・金属彫刻を横断して制作する日本人アーティストである。2011年、巨匠・山川茂（1925–2015）のもとで2年間の修業に入り、そのアトリエで起居をともにしながら制作した。この濃密な時期に、フォーヴィスムの構成理論と油彩のもつ表現の可能性に深く没入した。

彼の制作上の探究は、自然界におけるエネルギーの流れと揺らぎ、そして生命そのものへの人間の根源的なつながりを見つめることにある。さまざまな次元から、作品が見る者と響き合い、深い感情の痕跡を残すときに発せられる「固有の周波数」を構成する要素を読み解こうとしている。渦巻くような色と形の交感をとおして、彼の実践は現実と精神の境界を越えていく想像的な領域を立ち上げる。

近年、本間は「土」をテーマに制作を深めている。すべての生命がその終わりとともに大地へと還り、微生物のはたらきによって豊かな土へと再生されていく循環の過程を可視化する。顕微鏡による綿密な観察と記録を取り入れながら、まったく新しい世界を生み出すことを絶えず試みている。
